FIX Maschinenbau design special automated machinery for the manufacture of fuel cells.
As a result of experience gained in advanced development work within the field of fuel cells, FIX have devised solutions for scalable manufacturing plant that afford the same quality standards as in the automotive sector.
FIX Maschinenbau are able to provide all of the elements involved in the value creation process of fuel cell stack production.

Working with the Zentrum für Brennstoffzellentechnologie (Centre for Fuel Cell Technology), FIX Maschinenbau are developing production processes for graphite bipolar plates. The complete manufacturing process will be validated - from the preparation of materials, to the handling of components and in-line testing of the production stages.

Assembly Unit for Fuel Cell Stacks With Integrated Test Technology – „in-process“



The assembly station guarantees for a proper stacking and alignment of individual parts and components (BPP, MEA, etc.) to a fuel cell stack.
During the stack building process,

„in-process“

quality-related parameters are tested and evaluated. While doing so, not only an early influence on the stacking itself is given but also on previous production processes resulting in a considerable reduction of the reject rate and thus in an increase in productivity.
During final inspection the complete stack is checked with regard to leakage, impedance and isolation.
